Choosing the right roof is one of the most important decisions for your new garden building. It provides vital protection from the British weather and defines the final look of your cabin.

Please Note: A roofing cover is essential for protecting your cabin, and our standard kits do not include one. This allows you to either source the materials yourself or choose from our high-quality upgrades. It is essential to cover the roof to protect your new building.

This guide explains the different roofing options we offer. For the best long-term protection, we strongly recommend our EPDM rubber roofing for flat roofs or shingles for apex roofs. The choices available depend on the cabin’s design:

• For our garden buildings with a flat roof, we offer durable Icopal Roofing Felt or our premium EPDM Rubber Roof system.

• For models with a traditional pitched apex roof, your choices are stylish Bitumen Roof Shingles or a heavy-duty Metal Sheet Roof.

Roof shingle kit

These high quality roof shingles will offer the best possible protection for your beloved garden building and upgrade the outer look. These roof shingles have been tested in the roughest weather conditions of Finland.

ICOPAL roof shingles are SBS modified bitumen shingles reinforced with a bitumen impregnated glass-fiber fleece. The top side is covered with colourful slate granules. The down side has a self-adhesive bitumen layer, covered with a protective siliconised plastic film which must be removed on installation.

ICOPAL FIRE SMART extra strong roofing felt

For an additional charge you can buy an extra strong roofing felt- Icopal Fire Smart. This is a polyester reinforced and SBS modified bitumen membrane for flat- and pent roofs. This self-adhesive roofing felt is easy to install and protects your summer house or garden building from all weather conditions and UV-radiation. The Lifespan of this felt exceeds 10 years.

EPDM Rubber Roofing

Firestone E.P.D.M is a high performing synthetic rubber roofing membrane.

This large single sheet covering creates superior weatherability and durability. With an anticipated life expectancy of 50+ years, you will struggle to find better and longer lasting covering for your cabin.

Metal Sheet Roof

New to our selection are steel roofing sheets, available in two profile designs and suitable for garden houses, saunas, sheds, and even low-pitched roofs.

The classic design steel sheet provides a sleek, elegant appearance that enhances both traditional and modern buildings, ensuring long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.

The profiled steel sheet features a straight-lined, contemporary appearance that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to assemble.

Both steel options are strong, weatherproof, and available in various colours and finishes.
