Standard Warranty Details
Summerhouse24 warrants that the products will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery and will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of their initial delivery. The standard extended warranty period applies to all wooden buildings (5 years).
Extended Warranty Details
The Extended warranty only applies to wooden components used to construct the main building, such as pressure-treated foundation timbers and wall logs. It does not include window or door units, roofing cover, locks, metal mechanisms, installation services, or other ancillary items purchased.
Covered is the cost of re-supplying an identical or comparable component to replace a component that is proven to have failed as a result of a material defect or manufacturing error. This includes the cost of transport of any such component to the customer’s original delivery address. It does not cover the cost of installation of those components or dismantling and/or collection of the defective components. Consequential costs or losses are not covered.
This does not affect the statutory rights of consumers or exclude or restrict the liability of the Guarantor for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Conditions & Exclusions
The warranty for wooden buildings does not cover: peculiarities of wood as a natural material; colour tone variations caused by wood structure differences that do not influence wood lifetime; wooden details containing small cracks and gaps caused by drying; twisted wooden details if they can nevertheless be installed; complaints resulting from an incompetent manner of the installation of the building or the building subsiding due to an incompetently made foundation; complaints caused
by introducing self-initiative changes to the building; abuse; negligence; improper use; and insufficient care and maintenance.
After assembling the wooden garden building, it must be treated immediately with a deep penetrating wood preservative, followed by a minimum of two topcoats using an appropriate wood protector. All external areas of your cabin, including under veranda roofs, eaves, and the inside of all doors and windows, as well as the frames that must be treated. It is a condition of the warranty that this is completed within 4 weeks of the assembly completion.
Any claim must be made in writing and accompanied by proof of purchase, details of failure, and photographic evidence. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and delivery address. Please email your claim to info@summerhouse24.co.uk or write to us at:
