Assembly instructions for summer houses and garden rooms

Most of our log cabins and wooden garden buildings are designed for DIY self-assembly. Depending on the size of your chosen model and your level of experience, assembly typically takes 1–3 days. We recommend that the installation is carried out by two adults using standard tools and the assembly instructions provided.

Before purchasing and installing your garden building, please check with your local planning authority to confirm whether planning permission or any other approvals are required. It is also essential that your cabin is erected on a firm, solid and perfectly level base, as this is crucial to the stability, performance and longevity of the building.

For most of our log cabins and summer houses, we provide comprehensive assembly instructions covering each key stage of the installation. Your delivery will also include a detailed product specification pack containing the cabin layout, component list and wall elevations, allowing you to easily identify each part during assembly.

All cabin components are individually labelled to help simplify the assembly process. The only exceptions are generic items, such as the roof and floor boards, which are easily identified using the detailed product specification list supplied with your cabin.

Before you begin building, we recommend sorting and checking all components against the specification list. This will help you familiarise yourself with the parts and confirm that everything required for the installation has been received before assembly starts.

All fixings required to assemble your cabin are included as standard.
