This was a bespoke cabin based on our popular Contemporary Garden Room E.
Our client was given a generous milestone Birthday gift of money by her parents and wanted to spend it on something her whole family would benefit from. Our client told us that a multi-functional room in the garden had always been on her wish list.
This is our clients story:
“My world changed forever when just before my birthday, my mum very suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from pancreatic cancer just 2 weeks after diagnosis. The lodge I went on to order became my solace as layer after layer of painting and varnishing was my welcome therapy and time out.
Almost 3 years on from it’s arrival, what it has given us is so much more than just a building or a room. It is a place where memories are being made. Laughter and noise has filled it as movie nights and games nights take place. It is a regular hangout for sleepovers and get-togethers for my teenage boys and their friends. It continues to be a place of reflection for me, with sunflowers as a happy homage to my mum.
What it has given us is priceless.
Thank you Summerhouse 24.”

This is our clients story:
“We built one of your 8m x 5m cabin in 2020 in an unused quarry at the bottom or our garden and fitted it out into a 2 bedroom self contained cabin for our daughter who returned home during the covid period. We asked for your team to construct the cabin on site and they were amazing. Quick, efficient and easy to work with.
By including sliding doors into the 2 bedrooms and also the bathroom we were able to keep the design neat and compact. We incorporated an oak circular window in the main bedroom which looks out onto a magnificent climbing rose planted on the quarry face. This bedroom faces onto the deck and garden area. The second bedroom is big enough for a double bunk bed with single bunk over and integrated shelving. The cabin is south facing and looks over a natural swimming pool and mediterranean planted garden.
There’s a woodburner in the open kitchen and lounge which keeps the cabin beautifully warm throughout the winter though we did opt for the extra insulation in the floor and roof. There is ample space in the lounge for a 3-seater settee and two single chairs. The cabin opens up onto a decking area and garden.
We were so pleased with the first cabin that we bought a smaller one which houses an additional bedroom and toilet.
The cabins have transformed what was an overgrown and wasted part of the garden into something magical and peaceful.”

Our client purchased the Fargo B Corner Cabin
This is our client’s story:
“My amazing sister Susie passed away last April and I wanted a place where I could remember her and that reflected her joy and life. “Susie’s Summerhouse” was built in a sunny corner of the garden – affectionately now just known simply as “Susies”.
It is full of lovely memories and a place where I can sit, read, pop the heater on, and just enjoy the amazing quiet retreat that I’ve created in her memory. My sons bought me a gin bar for Christmas and we now regularly have “drinks in Susies”.
Everyone who sees it admires it and finds it a place of love and laughter. I keep adding new memories and when my first grandchild was born last year, I added books for her to grow into. The family came up in the summer and every morning when I got up, I would see my son reading to his daughter Lara in the summerhouse and then we would all gather there again in the evenings .
It’s a place that is full of special moments and memories and I love continuing to find more special things to add to it during trips away and to continue adding to the memories.”
